sprucing up

Today I spent time updating my website. I added
titles and unified the fonts. I also changed the blog
banner above. Thinking about warm thoughts of spring &
a little sprucing up.

i love seeing good design, so i was happy to see how
this portus cale soap is beautifully packaged. the colors
are scrumptious and rich. the butterflies flutter around
to the back and along the side. an added bonus, the soap
smells wonderful- lemongrass & sugarcane. portus cale
is an old port town in portugal.

"Meltdown"

                              Last night, I missed frontline on pbs.

It was an eye opening documentary on the current state of our economy.  Over the last few years, I've caught myself wondering why people are surprised that this has happened?  To me,  there is a basic principal of common sense that has been missing in our lives.  The kind that you teach your 3 year old at the candy store:  "You only have a quarter, which means you can only buy the candy from this bin".   However, this show really helped explain not only the magnitude of the situation, but also the massive system that is in place on Wall Street and in Washington.

to my surprise, I was in Target today & stumbled upon
Orla Kiely for Target! I picked up this 'tapered tote' to
store loose ends.
