On a recent trip to Washington DC, we were able to 

visit the National Zoo.  The Zoo has undergone some

recent reneovations over the last few years, that really 

made the "Panda Wing" very nice.  It was a joy to watch them

the theme for the boston globe's monthly photo contest.

i took these pictures of my little lulu last april as she was splashing around in the

'mud season'... for those of you not familiar, this is the period in new england when

all of the snow melts and rain comes... hence mud season.  for some reason, i had to
